The Zoo

Today I went to the zoo! I saw a whole bunch of different kinds of animals. For example, I saw Zebras, Lions, Elephants, Anteaters, Horses, Seals, Fish, Birds, a Polar Bear, Monkeys, Chimpanzees, Orangutans, Sloths, Bats, Snakes, Penguins, and Goats. My favorite parts were petting the goats, the monkeys swinging really close to the other side of the glass and the owl that landed right above my head.

There were really cool Jungle Gyms. There were monkey bars, rock climbing walls, and balance beams. There was this really cool thing that looked like a Elephant were you could climb up many different ways and then you would slide down a really long and twisty slide. It was awesome! There were also a lot of very nice people there. It was a lot of fun. I can't wait to go back to the Zoo.

Where Am I?

Today I am going to start a game with you. I am going to take pictures and post them on my blog. I will also give you hints and facts about the place I am. Then you are going to have to guess where I am and what I am doing.  It is called “Where in the World is Emeline Schweitzer?” To find the answer you can research it online or ask your parents for help. Once you have the answer you can send me a comment and I will tell you if it is correct.

For my first “Where in the World…” post we visited a castle in Munich on August 26. Here is a picture.

Fact: “Crazy” King Ludwig II of Bavaria was born and grew up there.

On 27/8/2016 (This is how they write the dates here) I hopped on a boat that took me across Lake Starnberg to Rose Island. On that island I visited a castle that King Ludwig visited as a child. It was small but nice. It might not look like royalty would stay there from the outside but if you look inside of it you would get what I mean.

Another thing that I saw was the cross that was built where King Ludwig’s body was found when he drowned in Lake Starnberg. I have a picture.

I also went to a church at first I thought that it was a castle. I said a prayer.

My sister and I had a great time.

In Munich

It is day three in Munich and I have seen so many amazing things. Here are some examples of what I have seen so far.

1.I have seen the English Garden in Europe and we saw an awesome river it was so beautiful.

2. I also saw an amazing fountain Friedensengel und Prinzregententerrasse.

3. I went for a hike in a tunnel and people had done artwork on the walls. This one is my favorite.

4. I went to a church and there were very pretty designs on the ceilings. Here is one of them.

5. Finally the last and my most favorite of them all, in the English Garden someone was playing music with glass.

Here is one of the pieces of music that I had recorded.

Leving New York soon

I will be leaving New York on Monday, August 22, 2016. Today I got a mani/pedi and went in the pool with all of my aunts and uncles on my mom's side of the family.

Right now I am excited but nervous. I really don't know what to feel at this point. I think that I should feel excited. Well if you thought that I was just going to keep telling you about my feelings then you are thinking wrong. As you can tell this is going to be one of the biggest and best trips of my life.

STAY TUNED!

Time in New York

Hi this is Emeline again. At this time I am in New York sitting at my grandparents kitchen table wondering what Europe is like. I went there when I was 3 years old but I don't remember it at all. The amount of bags I am bringing alone is 3. 1 suitcase, 1carry on, and 1 backpack.

In Germany we will be staying in a city called Munich. Here is a picture of the city of Munich Germany. We will be staying in a apartment.

I hope that I will have time to make some friends along the way.
I feel that this is going to be one of the best trips of my life!

STAY TUNED.

First Post

Hi my name is Emeline Schweitzer
and I am 8 years old

I am writing this to tell you about my exciting travel out of the U.S.A. I am going away for 3 and a half months to places all around Europe.

This is a map of Europe

[(104 days), (15 weeks)] I will be visiting Italy, Germany, Romania, Austria, Switzerland, and maybe the United Kingdom. When I am away I will be seeing many Castles and a whole bunch of history. There will be a lot of friends and family members coming to stay with us, and travel around Europe. The plane ride will be 8 hours. The airport that we are going to is the J.F.K. Airport.

During the trip I want to see places that war happened between our two Countries. I also want to visit Concentration camps. I want to see the place where Anne Frank hid from the Nazis. Stay tuned for my next blog note.
